Description

What to expect

This mouth-watering art workshop is packed with exciting games & crafts that will leave children hungry for more! So, let’s get straight into it and see what’s in store for your little ones.

Craft – Cotton Ball Sushi

Here’s where your child can create their own sushi masterpieces with a variety of art supplies! In this fun activity, children use cotton balls, felt, masking tape, ribbons and more to make some yummy looking sushi! Children can also create a bento box for their sushi, which they can take home as a keepsake.

Craft – Gyoza Canvas Painting

Here’s a chance for kids to have some fun with food! In this activity, children get to draw and paint their favourite gyoza. They can give it funny faces, play around with different shapes, and also choose to jazz up the background with a bunch of colours and designs!

Game – Fukuwarai

The game of fuku warai is a bit like pinning the tail on the donkey. Blindfolded players have to correctly place paper cutouts of facial features on to an outline of a face that is placed in front of them. This fun game was made popular in the Edo period (1603 – 1868). It was played as a New Year game in the Taisho period (1912 – 1926). Up until the 1960s, it was a popular game that children played at home.

Game – Fun Photo Booth

In this activity, children get to stretch their imagination and create their own unique props for a photo booth. Once the props are made there’s an exciting photo session to look forward to! The photos can be printed out and framed, and the kids get to take them back home as a gift and a precious memory.

This action packed workshop is a great way to keep children engaged and excited as they practice their artistic skills in several fun formats!
