CD ART
Ideas for Using
CDs for Art Projects
CDs are not biodegradable. Instead
of throwing away old CDs, here are some ideas for recycling
CDs by turning old CDs into remarkable art. But first,
here is some important information that you should know:
Because the surface of a CD is not
porous, paints take a long time to dry. It may take
20-50 minutes for the paint to dry. You may want to
paint the CD one day and do the project the next.
- Always make sure that you use non-toxic
paints. The paint should have the words “non-toxic”
on the label or bottle.
- Never attempt to cut a CD with
scissors or another cutting implement. CDs could shatter
into many pieces causing possible injury.
