Korky Paul
Korky Paul is the award-winning
illustrator of more than two dozen books. He was born
in Harare, Zimbabwe. At an early age he was reading
comic books and scribbling cartoons. He scribbled
his way through Durban School of Art and for four
years scribbled at an advertising agency in Cape Town,
South Africa.
The
first book Korky illustrated was Winnie the Witch.
It won the Children's Book Award in 1987 and has been
published in over 10 languages. Korky has since illustrated
more very successful books for Oxford University Press,
Random House, Penguin Books and many other publishers.
Three of Korky's picture books
have been adapted for CD-ROM: Dragon Poems, Winnie
the Witch and The Fish Who Could Wish which
won the coveted European Multi-Media Award (EMMA)
in 1995. Korky Paul has very quickly become a well-known
figure in the children's book world and he is especially
popular with the young children who read his books
and are carried away into a fantasy world by the illustrations.

Myrna Hoffman
A born artist, inventor, and
entrepreneur, Myrna Hoffman was already organizing
neighborhood carnivals for charity and earning the
first of her many creative awards before the age of
11.
Myrna
Hoffman has enjoyed a variety of positions including
film animator; free-lance technical artist; interior
designer and archeological artist. In 1991, Hoffman
founded OOZ & OZ, to produce educational toys
based on an obscure ancient art that had intrigued
her for decades. "Anamorphosis" - an ingenious optical
illusion amusement - uses curved mirrors to re-form
morphed images into magical reflections.
